Thanjk you.

The offside, they didn't show lines on my feed but every angle looked off. Impossible to call from sofa though.
Ederson foul was a joke. Player played through, Ederson rushes out of box, player skips passed him, Ederson slides late and takes him out as last man. Instant yellow, 2 second VAR check.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
Ball going away from goal and defender in close proximity...why all the fuss?
The forward was in full control, if Ederson doesn't empty him he's slotting that home with ease. Maybe that Tweet isn't best angle, but it's an easy red

He's knocked the ball quite far, tightening the angle, there is a defender keeping pace with him, and above all the ball is going away from goal. Rules of the game mean yellow is always a possibility. There's better views of it on Reddit.

I watched it live and first reaction was red. I've seen dozens of angles and replays since and it gets worse every time.

Because there was an open goal. If the defender had wiped him out and he still had the keeper to beat it wouldn't be a debate and the GK can use his hands. But football has some weird assumption a covering defender with no GK is somehow less a goalscoring opportunity than when a player has to beat someone specifically employed to stop shots who can also use his hands. GK taking a player out is significantly more goalscoring opportunity denying than a defender
I saw the video on twitter from the wide and the close up angle, I think that the challenge alone could be considered endangering an opponent, so whether it is denying a goal opportunity or not there is a question to be asked. If a defender does that it's a red for denying a goalscoring opportunity. The Palace player doesn't take a heavy touch he plays it just past the keeper and is easily getting that if the wasn’t taken out. Yes he is slightly taking it away from goal but has already beaten the keeper so I'm not really sure why going slightly away from goal with no keeper and potentially only a defender to beat is deemed as difficult. We're it a vouple of yards back Palace at least have a pen, massive let off for City, and in my mind a very questionable decision
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
