Career wise, there won't be many better than Salah and Saka won't be one of them, but in 2025, Saka is fast, scares defenders, beats his man and puts crosses in the danger zone, and he can score. Stuff that Salah used to do lots of, but much less so now. It's not a criticism of Salah really, its just that I think we need more of that dynamic energy in our front line. Saka will never get the numbers that Salah has, but coupled with a top level striker, it's probably the direction we should be going in in the summer.

I think that's the direction we will go, the lack of pace in the side is so glaring especially in the wide areas. Getting players in, especially in the wide areas that can actually take on and beat a man would be very welcome. Feels weird talking like this when we are 11 points ahead but I think we can all see the limitations of the side & how we need to improve & evolve. Big summer ahead no doubts and looking forward to the excitement of all the ins and outs.

A balanced response

For me, as mentioned before, it’s evolution not revolution and if:when Salah renews we need to begin succession planning.

Getting called out continually for pointing out how productive Salah had been this season with Goals and Assissts (not by you obvs) is beyond tiring.

The late goal hasn't helped, but we were poor against them in the first leg and made them look better than they are, thought they may have raised their game. I'll take Villa to beat them at home, whether it'll be enough, we'll see.
