To actually be worse than ETH is a spectacular bit of work. Seemed impossible they could get be ****ter Ten Hav was soooo bad.Originally posted by danperkins View PostAmorim has been an absolute disaster
But this….
Losing to Spurs of all teams in a Final and resorting to punting it in the box like a Sunday league team for about 25 mins. That was really all they had.Modifying post.

I still think there's a decent chance he could make them top four contenders with a few hundred million to spend. It would take a couple of years to completely rebuild the squad, and there are no guarantees, but it's possible. But now that can't happen because they can't afford to back the manager like that. Hell, they probably can't even afford to get rid of him.Originally posted by danperkins View PostAmorim has been an absolute disasterTrey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

I was just thinking there, if ever there was time for United to go back to the drawing board, have a massive clear out on and off the pitch.. it would be now. The problem with United is they still think they are relevant and they just cannot help themselves from splurging in every single window, mistake after mistake after mistake trying to make big money signings to make a statement of relevance. As for Amorim, I think he ll still be there next season but he rep has taken a battering.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostI still think there's a decent chance he could make them top four contenders with a few hundred million to spend. Trouble is, he could build a team to fit his 3-4-2-1 and play the way he wants to play, but as soon as he left his replacement would have the same problem as he has now. A squad that isn’t built for how he wants them to play. Lovely stuff.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostI still think there's a decent chance he could make them top four contenders with a few hundred million to spend. He’s a fraud, after losing that I can now say it. I really really wanted us to get him, they have been an abomination since he came in. In our lowest ****ty days we finished top 10, they finished 16th, lost a big European final to Spurs where they were devoid of any ideas on how to play. From what I saw it was pass wide and lump it into the boxOriginally posted by danperkins View PostUnited all that money spent and all the Amorim hype and they end up with Harry Maguire up front. They are a joke.
Amorim has shown nothing in terms of improving them - Delap and Cunha do no not move thd needle forward much eitherLast edited by Irishnev; 22-05-25, 06:01 AM.

The expansion of the CL has really damaged it.
In previous years these two wouldn't have made the final because teams that dropped out of the CL at the group stage would have put them out
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Cunha is a good player and he'll improve them (not hard). Delap is a weird one, he's an English version of what they have already. And he won't improve them.Originally posted by Irishnev View PostHe’s a fraud, after losing that I can now say it.
