Having bot seen the pen I was expecting that to be massively controversial. I think that’s a pen tbh, it hit his arm and he was almost leaning towards the ball to divert it.

I haven't been online to see what the controversy was and haven't seen post match, but my take was that you can be punished for a completely accidental handball, if the ref decides that your arm in an an unnatural position. Tarkowski did the opposite, did everything to get his arm behind his back and just threw his body in front of the ball, as he does every week. I don't think he intentionally used his arm (unlike the handball against us), he was just trying to block the ball whichever way he can and did everything he could to get his arm out of the way.
But regardless, they didn't deserve a point and it's Everton, so all good.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

That's been a handball since a bunch of blokes sat in a Sheffield pub in 1858 and agreed on the rules of football. The ball didn't hit him on the arm, he deliberately moved his arm towards the ball by deliberately falling into the path of the shot.Last edited by Kenneth; 19-08-25, 09:59 AM.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years
