Big surprise to see Italy out to Bosnia and Denmark to the Czech Republic. Turkey also through vs Kosovo.

Actually come to think of it, I’m sure I have some distant Scottish family……. you’ll never take our freedom!!!!! Disappointment incoming

We welcome our Celtic brethren. However. Be warned. We already had our WC final against Denmark. Outwith that we’ve been fairly terrible recently, so difficult to argue.

I went to the Hill Dicko last night for the Scotland v Ivory Coast game - a tough watch, we're in for a ****e World Cup and exit after 3 games again, the only positive will be getting out without being humiliated on the biggest stage again.

Hill Dicko seems a nice bijou, compact and deceptively spacious space. Perfect for the first time buyer.

I think we can even get through if we beat Haiti (surely) but overall Clarke is such a negative coach. When he goes for it we saw what happens v Denmark. But typically we rely heavily on McTominay providing magic to win games for us.

And they can still qualify for the knockouts if they finish 3rd in a group of 4. Securing enough coefficient points to remain a higher ranked team for future qualifying and keep the shop nice and closed.

Couple of things about that, firstly that Denmark aren’t very good, and secondly it was 1-1 until they went a man down. At tournament level, caution is the only way.

Denmark were a superior team technically to us on the night in possession, but the usual ex factors of passion and support saw us (deservedly imo) cross the line - we had all the big chances.

We do have a few class players and a lot of journeymen. It’s hard to knock Clarke when he’s been so ‘successful’ but it’s eye bleeding stuff at times. Better than it’s been in a while though however, we lack a forward that has power and pace and that can be an issue which is why the play seems so…. Boring.

Don’t think going gung ho v Brazil or Morocco will get us all that far so hopefully we can stretch our legs v Haiti
