Diving would be the only exception where a ‘blue’ could work.

The same thing will happen that happens now. One game you will see a blue card for something then the next game it won’t be. The same complaints and inconsistencies. Pointless.

Did all these new rule changes every year only come in after VAR started? The handball rule has definitely gone crazy since VAR. I remember football was the same year after year.

Yep rat face & Odegard will continue to snipe at refs, Trent will ask a question & spend 10mins on tjhe naughty chair...

Absolutley open to abuse, whilst the ref's can't even apply the ccurrent rules..... Dissent is a yellow already, no?

What happens if your goalkeeper gets a blue card and has to leave the pitch for 10 mins before coming back on? You aren't going to play with no keeper for 10 mins so are you forced to make 2 subs - sacrifice an outfield player for a GK, then 10 mins later use another sub to bring on an outfield player for your 2nd GK? Would they allow temporary subs in this situation or would you be able to nominate another player to take the singing in the GK's place?
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Another new rule being introduced is that if the goalie is time-wasting the ref will give a corner to the other team.
Not a bad idea as a yellow card to the keeper is pointless and really no advantage at all to the other team.

That's a really good idea. They should make the third offence a penalty.

They should also add that the first person to touch a ball that goes out for a throw takea the throw

Come on, you can't expect IFAB or FIFA to have thought anything like that level of detail through before shouting about it to the media!

What's wrong with a keeper eating up some time. Refs are supposed to add it back on anyway. When you're one nil up and hanging on, you can't beat a bit of time wasting. It's part of the game and trying to win. What's wrong with the world.

                              BBC Sport in Paris

Plans to announce a trial of sin-bins and blue cards by football’s law-makers have been delayed.

IFAB intended to release information around four proposed trials on Friday.

However, world governing body FIFA responded to multiple stories on Thursday, some of which raised the potential for the trials to involve elite football, with a public statement urging caution.

While it is understood the four trials will remain, following further consideration initiated by FIFA, it has now been decided there will be no confirmation of the precise details until a media conference immediately after IFAB’s annual meeting at Loch Lomond on 2 March to allow for "further exchange".
