I get that Kane is England’s main man up front, but for 90 mins even he’s clearly not getting a kick?

It's weird. He could drop and bring in Sakha and Foden but instead they all looked peripheral. Just Bellingham trying to do everything.

England were awful last night against a very one paced Serb side. Trent in the middle doesn't work if you don't have width, it was all too slow and condensed & the players looked tired and a bit lost. Southgate's tactics seemed to negate the abundance of talent he had on the pitch.

Trent's ambling was world class I thought. Ambled like he does for us

I'd like to see either Palmer or Gordon for Foden, I think Sakha has a lot of credit in the bank and had the right back in his pocket in the first half.

England had no pace in attack or midfield. They didn’t look a threat on the counter which a team would need when they come up against a top team who keep possession.

We’ve all seen, with Liverpool especially, how devastating pace can be. How many goals did we used to score from opposition corners. Can’t see England doing anything on the counter with the players they had starting.
