Better team won tbh. The dutch didn’t really show up.
They didn't show any Dutch courage.

Some goal to win it. England just deserved it though it took a dodgy one to keep them in it.
Southgate HAS to drop Kane. He’s stealing a living out there, the run and finish from Watkins showed literally what they are missing. Kane does **** all. Sticks about up from t doing nothing or dropping deep and chucking himself to the ground.
Going to be a tough ask for England v Spain, they are outmatched in most positions.

They did alright. Hit the bar and created 2 or three solid headed chances. Controlled most of the second half but England had the players to change it and get stronger.
But he tries to block with a high foot using the sole of his foot, putting his studs in a dangerous position. It’s dangerous because of the risk of exactly what happened. Dangerous play covers all sorts of situations, not just tackles.
Game is level and it won’t be the deciding goal so never mind.
It was foot to foot so the height is irrelevant. To kick to bottom of Dumfries boot, the defenders boot was there first, Kanes struck him so no foul. Nothing dangerous about it, it wasn’t even reckless. It’s never a pen and it definitely does not meet a clear and obvious threshold for VAR intervention. The officiating expert said as much in commentary.
England won because of that dodgy penalty, so it matters.
Thought England were much the better side, their best performance of the tournament. Holland are a bang average side and it was a negative and lack lustre performance. I actually thought it was a pen, foot was up, studs showing and although Kane goes down like his foot got chopped off, there was some contact and it left the ref with a decision to make.
England trying to beat that Spanish press should be interesting.
Most people in England won't care because it was a decision that went England's way, but the standard of officiating is terrible and VAR use is inconsistent, no-one watching the game knows what is and what isn’t going to be a pen. Most pundits last night were amazed that was a pen as were most fans. Different competitions and officials I know but compare that pen last night to the Doku one on MacAllister that wasn't given and it highlights how laughable the officiating has become
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
