Game was actually closer than I expected, Spain were much the better team, England only tried to play when they went behind, tried to rely on individual moments of quality. As I said all along Southgate is an enigma his sides performance in tournaments make him England's 2nd most successful manager of all time but, team selection and tactics were awful, set up the wrong way and got little out of the players, I imagine he will be replaced. England have a decent squad if someone can get it playing effectively.
Spain by far best team of what was in truth a really poor tournament IMOThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.Comment

England have plenty of good players and if that team played like top, we’ll not even top teams, but teams in the premier league play with more aggression and any attempt to try and win a match and score goals they’d be very difficult to beat. Roy Hodgson 2.0. Honestly what top club would go after him as a manager. Liverpool, Arsenal or Man City wouldn’t have him on a list of candidates.Comment

Kane was an absolute passenger, in a better setup team he'd be deadly but if we're going to sit back and counter with just him up top then he's a terrible option.
Putting Gordon up top with him would be akin to Son and Kane, I reckon that might have worked.
Palmer is genuinely brilliant, he's so unrushed and his passing and vision are brilliant, I'd rather have him than Bellingham in our team to be honest.
