Based on something Troy Deeney wrote (or wrote for him) - if Forest and Bournemouth finish in the top 5 (CL worthy) AND Liverpool won the league, would you choose Nuno Espírito Santo, Andoni Iraola or Arne Slot for Manager of the Season?

Nuno I think, given how chaotic that club is and how many “experts” had them down for relegationOriginally posted by DerKrampus View PostBased on something Troy Deeney wrote (or wrote for him) - if Forest and Bournemouth finish in the top 5 (CL worthy) AND Liverpool won the league, would you choose Nuno Espírito Santo, Andoni Iraola or Arne Slot for Manager of the Season?

Have to be Arne. First season in the league & he did not make wholesale changes to a squad that looked knackered last seasonOriginally posted by DerKrampus View PostBased on something Troy Deeney wrote (or wrote for him) - if Forest and Bournemouth finish in the top 5 (CL worthy) AND Liverpool won the league, would you choose Nuno Espírito Santo, Andoni Iraola or Arne Slot for Manager of the Season?Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

The same 'experts' who had Liverpool not even in top 4.Originally posted by Sus View PostNuno I think, given how chaotic that club is and how many “experts” had them down for relegation
Arne had to follow a legend. One of the greats and he is done it with dignity and applomb.
Even our own fans was hoping for top 4 at best.
Arne should piss this._____________________________________

Jeez what a waste from my perspective - don't begrudge him earning enough money for 20 lifetimes for his family, but he looks a real talentOriginally posted by spud_gun View PostVilla's Jhon Duran off to Al Nassar in Saudi for a fee in the region of 70m Euros
Seems like an absolute waste of the young lad......then again.....it'd hard to turn down thatblood money'generational wealth'

He'd be taking a risk on a European club taking a punt on him, given he will have wasted 2 years of his career, essentially not developing in that timeOriginally posted by Scratch View PostHe's 21. A couple of years earning megabucks, then he can look to come back and make a name for himself in Europe, knowing he's already set for life. Fromhis point of view, a plan with no drawbacks.
The megabucks probably make that risk worth taking, I guess

Yep, I agree with this. It’s another player we monitored the hell out of when he was in America but didn’t move. We should hopefully gamble more on such prospects before they become unattainable for usOriginally posted by Scratch View PostHe's 21. Personally, I don't think so. It's not like he not going to be playing as he will be playing and training weekly (playing more than he does at Villa too), and some low level club, similar in stature to Villa, will be happy to give him a go once he decides he's had his fill. And I don't think Columbia will drop him from the national team, so long as he is still performing at a good enough level.Originally posted by Sus View PostHe'd be taking a risk on a European club taking a punt on him, given he will have wasted 2 years of his career, essentially not developing in that time

Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

Surely he could sign 1 contract with a PL Team and he would be set for life.Originally posted by Scratch View PostHe's 21. Sure he could get 80k a Week on a 4 yr deal. £15m deal if that cant set you up for life you are doing something very wrong.
Pure greed in going to play in a ****ty league for megabucks. Also he looks top quality to me. Go somehwere be a regular and then get a bigger move to the big boys.
I cant see a move from Saudi to Real Madrd/Barca/Liverpool?City etc_____________________________________

There's set for life and then there is the money on offer in Saudi, even for an unproven player such as Duran. The money he makes there will far eclipse anything he can make elsewhere at this point in his short career.Originally posted by red g View PostSurely he could sign 1 contract with a PL Team and he would be set for life.

Going to Saudi for, say, 3 years will leave him 24 and if he wants to return to Europe, so long as he keeps himself fit and banging in the goals, a mid table club will take a shot at him.
By the time he enter the "prime" of his football career, usually 27 or 28, he'd have been back at a European club for long enough for the big boys to know if he has what it takes.
And all the while he has a pot of cash most of us can only dream about.
