This is a bit of randomness I stumbled across….

The England team for Harry Kane’s debut was incredibly ****:

          Hart
          Clyne Cahill Jones Baines
          Barkley Carrick Delph
          Walcott Kane Welbeck

Not sure where you came across it but Kane was sub, Rooney started, as did Henderson and Sterling. Still not a great team. At a guess I would say someone has tried to put together the team that was on the pitch with Kane but still not right according to this

Also they were 3-0 up when he came on with 20 mins to go. And won 4-0 with Kane scoring. This is the most remarkable thing for me given they were managed by Hodgson

Yep, Gabriel vs Bayern Munich in the CL 1/4 finals.

Except that one didn't get a penalty.

Ref said he wasn't giving a pen for a "kid's mistake".

That ref should have been struck off. Rules are rules & not picking up the ball when the game is happening is quite fundamental

The second one he had already gestured for the free kick before the ball was picked up. Don't see how that's a penalty

The gesture he's making doesn't appear to be for a free kick, but either way the whistle hasn't been blown, untill the player picks it up.
