You can actually see the linesman’s flag behind Curtis so he should have clear sight that the keeper has taken the ball out of play but he couldn’t be bothered to put his flag up to indicate a corner.

The games back!
If it weren't all true, it would almost make you smile. Just imagine: a first-team official shows up at the sports field in priestly attire and takes up a position right next to the fence, because he's serving a suspension and can't go on the bench. So far, it would be almost normal; the story's ending can be found in FIGC press release number 409 following the Federal Prosecutor's Office's investigation.
The reference is to the Asd Galgagnano-Asd Union Mulazzano match, valid for the Third Category championship (Lodi delegation) played last October 26: “Matteo Ciceri , UEFA B coach (of Union Mulazzano, ed.), gathered his players before the start of the match in an area adjacent to the sports facility to announce the lineup, and gave, during the match, technical-tactical instructions to his team by positioning himself on a ladder wearing a cassock.
In the 37th minute of the second half, after the opposing team had scored a goal, he entered the playing enclosure and kicked an opposing player. Then in the 48th minute of the second half, after a goal by his team, he entered the playing enclosure again celebrating with his players and insulting the opposing ones, despite being barred from directing the team and accessing the pitch (until 24 November 2025, (ed.)”.
Yesterday he was punished with a four-month ban (and the team's president received a two months one, in addition to a 500€ fine).
It's true, clothes don't make the man.

I know that they want to keep moving around but surely there are enough ~60k+ stadia in Europe to host these finals, that would at least allow 20k of supporters from each club in and keep the 20k of neutral VIPs and sponsorship folks although I don't see why there needs to be that many of those anyway but in a 40k stadium having as many of those as fans for both clubs combined is complete bull****The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Was it the VAR call or the ref refusing to accept the VAR recommendation? Either way, it was farcical.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostThe VAR call on that Man U goal is mind blowing.
It illustrates how far away VAR is from being able to handle the hand ball ruling. It’s wild that it wasn’t overturned.
I watched it with a United supporter, and he called handball in real time. Neville was the same on commentary.
PGMOL will have a lot to do to improve its level of officiating next season. They really are in danger of demonstrating to the PL and the fans that they are not a fit for purpose organisation. It will be interesting to see how the English refs get on at the World Cup in the summer. We are here for a good time not a long time....
