What a donkey he's looked too up til now. Just goes to show how people should give foreign players more of a chance...was saying a similar thing to my mate the other day about players looking like crap at first - Vidic was the same at Manure, Essien didn't look too clever at first and numerous Arsenal players took a while to show their true colours. So a lot of people on here should cut the likes of Gonzalez, Aurelio, and dare I say it, maybe even Cisse a bit of slack..

He hasn't looked a donkey up to now at all though IMO. He does for Chelsea everything Crouch does for us but with more flair and greater pace, giving him the ability to take people on that Crouchy lacks. I think the only reason people think he's a donkey is he's a very erratic finisher.

People totally missed the point the first season Chelsea won the league in saying they needed a new striker to replace Drogba with a real finisher, he was key to them even then - he supplied the flick-ons and knock-downs that people like Duff, Robben, Lampard and Cole fed off, and still always presented a threat to the opposition's defence too. He suited their 4-3-3 system perfectly. He is now excelling in his new role, much moreso than I would have thought.

Looking back at when we bought Cisse, I remember the debates at the time as to whether Drogba was a better option. I think a lot of people knew deep down Chelsea were probably getting the better player from having watched bits of both players - only because we were the ones getting Cisse did we say he was the better player, joking about they paid much more to get someone not quite as good.

Hate Drogba, he's the most arrogant **** in the history of the game. He was saying that he was the best player in the world when he was playing ****, I really hope he gets done for drugs or gets back to his **** form.

got to admit he is doing well and has proved me wrong still dont think he is as clinical as other strickers in world football but he is **** hot at da min. dont think he will get the credability his fine form deserves coz he is such a **** has no humility and is still a cheat no matter what people say. also think that gonzalez should be given time look at pires in his 1st season at arsenal its hard for foreign players sometimes and he seems to really have a desire to do well at the club when you compare him to that lazy **** kewell. less convinced bout pennant
