You get a choice of Brazil in a possible world Cup QF or Switzerland/other average side you take the latter all day. Then they *should* be in a semi and anything can happen.

It's weird, on performances so far, there isn't a team in the tournament that England wouldn't stand a chance against. And the England team is ****ing muck.

It's odd I think this has been a decent tournament so far because most games have been fairly even, largely because the teams that you would expect to be decent have been really poor.

I honestly don't think I have been impressed by anyone yet.

There's nothing in the group H sides but a potential quarter final against Sweden or Switzerland should effectively be a bye for any half decent side. (Although England could still easily bottle it). The only decent side in that side of the draw is Spain. Both should be aiming for that side of draw. Am I right in thinking that England top the group on fair play table? So in the event of a draw it comes down to who has the least yellow cards? Play for a draw to keep momentum and unbeaten record then get a couple of last minute yellow cards and celebrate like you scored - job done

The other side is definitely harder but based on performances so far there is no-one who you would be desperate to avoid.

We are talking about this and they'll probably go out to Japan or something in the next round but yeah defo want to be on that side. It's an amazing chance. Spain look dodgy as well, he's picking a stupid team just to get all the big name midfielders in and they look slow as ****. I've no idea on the tiebreaker stuff but that could get pretty amusing if its level late on

I can't think of a worst world cup in terms of quality. Dare I say England have a half chance. I couldn't back a winner, that's for sure.

The hype around England this morning is ****ing mental this morning.

I think Southgate is doing a decent job, but so far all that has happened is they have played well against two of the worst teams in the competition.

Can they win it... etc?

**** knows, we've certainly not learnt anything so far. 2 games against absolute **** where they have still let in 2 goals. Will be interested to see what happens when that defence is put under any pressure.
