I'm not sure what to make of Pepe to be honest. His record is very good but i'm still unconvinced by him on crosses. He's a very good shot stopper & is excellent acting as a sweeper. On top of this he must be a very good organiser as we've kept so many clean sheets. Its very hard to judge this as a fan as its impossible to know just how much of our good organisation at the back is down to Pepe. however, the bottom line is, Rafa really rates him so in the end thats good enough I suppose.

If he could improve on crosses then he would be some keeper, until then I think he'll always throw in the odd clanger.

Reina is part of our record breaking defense, so yes I am convinced, still young as far as keepers go so has plenty time to improve even more.

Got alot of respect for Reina - had a hard start to the season, but has come back really well

Shows he has the mental attibutes for us to win the title with him being our goalie
          We need better attacking players!

Comparing him with Barthez is hugely unfair IMO - Barthez was shockingly dodgy and also overrated. He did mad stuff that you had no idea what the **** he was doing. Also, for me Pepe in no way gives the opposition the feeling they've 'always got a chance' with him

I find myself confused by it all. He looks so fragile at times, yet we already have 11 clean sheets in the league plus the 30 odd from last season.

Watching him yesterday was a case in point. A missed catch, a failure to come for a cross which had to be dug out by Carra, yet another clean sheet.

Is Reina the answer? Should we accept that he has these Brucie style moments but is a great keeper as well?

Do you panic everytime a cross comes into the box? I do. If it's a shot then I have no worries at all but the errors from crosses still persist.

I'm not convinced Carson is the solution and I think we have more important issues to worry about like scoring wingers.

Do you think Reina is the future for Liverpool between the sticks?
Come on AL. I think his record speaks for itself. He does make mistakes but you've got to be aware he's still near a baby as far as goalies go. The point u make about his brucie style moments is a good one.
I think we have got to indeed accept them because he's the safest keeper we've had in years and as he gets older the less mistakes he'll make.
If these mistakes kept coming every game and they were costing us then i'd be worried but up to now and touchwood in the future they haven't and won't.

Only my opinion though- Happy New Year anyway
