Quality player but you need a stable back four that always plays together IMO, and his injury problems do seem to be more or less ongoing...

          He's also decent at CB.

But anyways, it's all a moot point. There is zero chance of us getting him as he wouldn't leave Utd to come to us and if reports are to be believed, he wants a move to Italy.

he's more than a decent cb i reckon he's no worse than rio or vidic, before his injury i always said he was the best cb at utd, since then tough rio has picked up his game and heinze has gone off it, his best position is on the left of a 3 man defence, he is boss in that position, i can imagine carra agger heinze it would kill...

and he's hard as ****, playing in france he broke two players legs with out getting sent of...

I think that post "says it all" about your knowledge of the player.
Unlike yourself, apparently, I try to avoid the scum on TV, what with all the Sky/BBC endless fawning over them. I stop watching their live games if they go two up as that's when the fawning becomes the most sickening. But I have enjoyed their games occasionally, like West Ham away and last night against a seriously weakened Newcastle. Whenever the hapless Heinze or Evra have played in games I've been able to watch they've been distinctly average. Sorry if that upsets you.

Agreed. He's an infinitely better player than Riise and I very much doubt he's for sale.

heinze last year was unbelievable, his work rate and aggresion is second to none. Would have him in a hearbeat ....and another mate for Paletta.

They wont sell though Evra is pretty injury prone i thought.

Its repoerted that his contract is up in the summer. they may not sell now, is right, but if reports are correct, he can leave for nothing in a few months.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                    * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

                              He'll be good

I think Rafa sees him as playing in two positions, left back and centre back this allows Rafa to buy one player for two positions rather then having to fork out on two players and paying more money, also Gab is a good player that will add alot to our team.

I really hope so mate, for all the bad games he has had it is still only one season to be fair, its not like its been 6 years so hopefully it was just a bad time and with a fresh start he'll be back to what he was.
