    Something doesn't add up...
Bringing them in and asking them to settle into the first team immediately was never going to work, Westham were on the up without them, all their arrivals do was make people feel threatened, their captain was playing in Tevez's position, it just didnt happen the right way.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

The reason could also be that they want to sell him and won't risk him. If that is the case then they must have a more or less agreed deal with someone.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

have to agree with that they play for argentina and cant get a game ahead of the likes of harewood sheringham? whats that about? i think ashton and tevez would be a classy partnership

Great point and for that reason they both represent too much of a risk in my opinion. I'd only take them on loan to see if they are as good as everyone makes out.

Maschareno is Veron mark 2 in my opinion, talented but unable to settle in the premiership.
No South American has ever settled in the premiership long term.

AND if he's that good why the hell have Juve pulled out of a deal for him

I'd like to see us sign mascherano, sure it'd be a gamble, but i'm sure we can recoup his value if it doesn't work out, at the price spoken about originally.

To be fair I don't know many who were saying that, it was mostly the press coming out with that bollocks. The West Ham fellas who post on RAWK were excited, yeah, but the CL claims were mostly made by idiot journos.

Just look at the face: it's vacant, with a hint of sadness. Like a drunk who's lost a bet.

wonder how he would feel about going from one reserves bench to anohter though

I'm sure he'd like the more prestigious Liverpool Bench better, probably more comfortable.

How long left on Zendens contract? Fcuk him off with immediate effect and bring in Mascherano for 6m, steal of the century IMO.

I dont think he would be Veron 2 but even if he was, if weve only shelled out 6m for him theres no way we\d lose money if we moved him on.

Unhappy West Ham United midfielder Javier Mascherano has demanded a move away from Upton Park.

Mascherano is unhappy with his lack of first-team football and is keen to move on in a bid to get his career back on track.

The Argentine international has hardly had a look-in under Alan Curbishley and he believes he has no choice but to seek a move.

"I must get out of here. I cannot stay at West Ham any more like this, without playing," said Mascherano.

"At my age, my game will only stagnate if I do not get the chance to play.

"I came to England to do well, but I have not had the opportunities necessary to show what I can do.

"If I am not playing in the West Ham team, I will have to leave to continue my career with another side."

Liverpool could be ready to rescue Mascherano from his West Ham nightmare, with reports suggesting they are lining up a move for the 22-year-old.
