By the end of March, If we are still in contention for 2nd place we will take it as I believe we have the easiest run in. From April 1st, we should not lose any games in my opinion

Chelsea have a few tough away games in there and the European games will also have an impact

      for example

When Liverpool come back from Barca we have home game against Shef Utd then we play the scum at home before the return leg at Anfield with Barca then away to villa

The Scum have home to charlton then away to Lille away to Fulham then away to us at Anfield and home to Lille followed by home game against Bolton

In the same period the Chavs are Boro at home, Porto Away, Man City Away, Portsmouth away, Porto at home followed by Shef utd at home

Where The Arse have Wigan Home then psv and villa away then home to Reading and PSV then away to the blue ****e

Thinks could get interesting in there yet

we have the easiest run in of all the teams, Arsnela seem to have the most difficult.
Dont think we will finish anywhere other than 3rd realistically, but there is still a part of me which will cling onto the hope of finishing atleast 2nd. Chelsea should return to normal service when Terry returns, that is if their attack can continue scoring goals. Cant see Man USA throwing it away now.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

After watching Chelsea and Utd's last two games they look way more tired in comparison to our lot - I hope we can push them close and if we beat Barca the confidence will be flying in the Champions League - I think that Chelsea will focus solely on winning that but we 've got their number

Second is catchable now i would say and should be our target, 1st might be a bridge too far, we would need Man U to have an almighty fall for it to be possible, even if we do beat them.

If we beat the chavs assuming the points gap does not get any greater by that time, we will only be 5 points behind, and that makes them catchable although it may come down to their final 3 games - Bolton, Arsenal, Everton.

By that point the Scum will probably still just be out of reach, but could anyone really complain about a second place finish, shows constant improvement and might just set us up as title challengers next season (although how many times have we heard that)

                      Lots of straw clutching here

I can't see both Chelsea and Man U collapsing, and assuming they don't I think the scum will just edge it.

I think we'll edge third from the Arse, but I'll be amazed if we're within 10 points of winning.

Chavs don't have to collapse, just drop another 5 points plus lose at Anfield.

If we win all our remaining games I'll eat my hat.

Put a ten pound accumulator on and you'll be a very rich man!
