I know this is a sensitive subject. There's all this talk of "Justice". What actually do people see as "Justice" 18 years later? And who for? The dead? The families of the dead?

      Is Justice:

      1) A full apology for what was published by the S*n
      2) Re-inquest into the deaths?
      3) A re-trial with the im of the conviction of the Police for what happened?

Who knows - and I'm sure each of the family members and friends of the dead have a different definition.

The reason I ask this question is it's not actually clear from the HJC website what it is they want. I'm interested to know what it is people actually want so many years later. This is a genuine question, not meant as an antagonistic comment.

Mods - if you think this subject is too sensitive for debate on this forum, please delete. I repeat - this is not meant as an inflammatory post.

My best wishes to all who are personally affected by this issue.

excellent...................you seem to be about 3 rows behind where I sit

I feel deeply honoured to have played my part in that awesome display
Lawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"

Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"

Lawrenson: Errr I thought I just did say that, John"

It was incredible to witness, I was in the Main Stand today and the six minutes was as powerful as anything I have ever seen.

Those that organized and participated deserve all our praise.

Does anyone have this for d/l?

Colin that is a fair point................let me try and answer your questions

1 The S*n did produce a half hearted apology.................15 years too late.that is why the boycott continues and to this day sales of tha\t rag are still 30% down on pre Hillsborough sales figures

2 The Inquest: there is still a lot of anger about the fact that the coroner deemed that the cut off time for the inquest was 3-06 even though there was clear evidence from police officers that some of the deceased were still alive after this time...............this effectively stopped any questions about the emergency services response being entered into evidence

3 The Police............there is still much anger about this..........Dukenfield being given permission to wear full dress uniform at the inquest even though he was suspended from duty at the time........... the Judges misdirection at the trial where he asked the jury to consider the possible implications a guilty verdict might have on other police officers in charge of large crowd events..........you simply cannot do this .............. a jury must make its decision on the facts of the case alone and not be swayed by any effect it may have on any subsequent cases
Lawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"

Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"

                    It is unmatchable.

I would give my right nut to have been there for a part of that wonderfull show of love, passion, togetherness and honour regardless of the game, performance and final score.

This thread is to show respect to those involved in that today.

Can we please continue to do so and leave the comments about the team for the other threads?

                    Main Stand/Paddock

                    The Kop - beyond words.
I was in the Paddock and the atmosphere, for the first 20 minutes, was absolutely ****ing awe-inspiring. As good as the Roma game I'd say. Well, almost. Taped the game and just watched it and, though it did sound ace on the telly, it obviously didn't transmit the full power and emotion of how it felt/sounded in the ground.

Stupendous effort. Hope we keep this going for other, 'lesser' games.

Yep, heard that in the car on the way home. He said fans of "a number of other clubs, notably Newcastle and Ipswich" had contacted Five Live to offer their support.

Aye, I'm pretty sure I remember him saying "how long before it affects the players"
Well, here we are in a room with two manky hookers and a racist dwarf. I think I'm heading home.

God forbid the atmosphere in the ground would actually influence the game.

I have no idea why Lawro didn't say a word. Under instructions from the BBC ?
