Second goal - Finnan (I think) allowed the player to come inside and then allowed him to shoot, Dudek should have saved

Third goal - Carra finally shows he is human and allows Henry a run at goal, Agger? allowed Henry to come inside and then allowed him to pass it to Dudek who was trying to tie his laces or something.

We then bombarded the oposition from deep with long balls despite their midfield being weakened.

I don't think Gerrard was particularly bad today.

I think it's unreasonable to take every game by the scruff if the neck, but he wasn't as good as Alonso this evening.

There's evidence to support both sides of the argument about whether he goes missing or not. We've all seen the CL and FA Cup final, but we've also seen him walk through games against United and Arsenal without making an impression on the game.

But he's the Captain, the PFA Player of the Year etc etc, he should be performing ALOT better in those games, influencing things, getting the lads going, just being a fcuking Captain generally.

are there actually people who that sg had a good first half today? he's our best player by a mile but blind devotion is ridiculous. for the first 45 minutes today - and arguably the second half too - he did not do what a central midfielder does. break up play, link between defence and attack, provide protection for defence, TRACK OTHER MIDFIELDERS LIKE ROSICKY AND PUT IN THE ****IN TACKLE WHEN OTHERS ARE FANNYING AROUND..

he's is immeasureably valuable to us but didn't have a good game today
