      Kim Kallström?!?!?
What I´m getting at is he is a better attacker then he is a midfielder.
I know many people disagree but 20+ goals from midfield last season.

This position in the hole should give him the best opportunity to maximise the attacking part of his game.

What makes me wanna blow my brains out is why he does not see what a absolute ****ing legend he could become if he just stoped trying to run the midfield and started dictating our attack.
He has all the attributes you need to play in the hole and then some: Power, pace, shooting, taking defender on, heading.... Litmanen had none of that and still you are suggesting his type over Gerrard.

The only conclusion I can reach is that Gerrard is a lamp who thinks he is a sofa.

Kallström is a left footed poor mans Gerrard. Just a suggestion. Put in any name you want.

There's no doubting Gerrard's ability to influence a game and his power etc but he's still a different type of player to what we are suggesting.
We are talking about an intelligent footballer who can with one move, pass create something out of nothing.
For all of Stevie's ability I would not class him in the intelligent footballer category, Jari could see things nobody else could, Fowler was probaly the only one that could read what Jari was going to do.

Are you really saying Gerrard cant do this?

Are we talking about the same player?

I know Steve is not the type of player you are talking about but he can still do this job better then almost anyone. For me he is right up there with Kaka, Ronaldinho, Zidane......

he will do the job differently but just as effectively.

Diego is available at the right price.

Deco could be another option. We have been linked with him.

My first option would be to buy Klose and Alves. We need someone to score the easy goals for us. Alves is probably the best crosser in the world and Klose probably the best striker in the air. That could be a deadly combination.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

That is a very good point.

Klose is probably the best header in strikerworld.

As I said in the line previous there is no doubting his ability to influence a game, but he doesn't have the footballing intelligence of those players you have mentioned, he is a class act with a lot of skill and power but doesn't come into the genius footballer category, it's more about using his energy and his exceptional skills at pace to beat and create, not with guile and subtlety, there in lies the difference.
Yes he can do those things but not in the same way and not always with the same devastating effect.
I understand what you're saying about him and he is probably more suited to a free role in the CM but he will not pose the same threat as Ronaldinho, Aimar, Dalglish, Jari etc, the thing is we need both in the team we need Gerrard's power and ability and A.N. Other's guile. Example Souness, Dalglish, Keane Cantona etc..

I disagree. He does not do it in the same way and it might not look a good because those guys I mentioned have more tec. but on the whole IMO Gerrard can be just as effective as the very best.

I´m sorry, a player with Gerrards ability who has shown us he can score 20+ goals from midfield is simply waisting his talents running around the center circle. 4 years ago we all believed he was gonna be at his best there but he just kept improving his attack and that is why this is my opinion.

Deco would be the ideal option but i doubt we'd be the only interested club in him. Klose is a good striker as he proved in the world cup but he is getting on a bit now isn't he?

I think your having a laugh when you call Alves the best crosser of ball in the world, he's good but to suggest he's the best in the world is laughable
We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

Juan Roman Riquelme fits the bill but might struggle with the pace of the prem, "only" plays for Villareal.

                          5 goals (target 15)

                          3 assists also........

The concept is pass and move.

How many times did we watch the winger or fullbacks get the ball out on the wing and the only options where taking the defender on or passing the ball back.
Pennant and Kuyt did this beautifully against Bolton, They ran into space around each other and opened them up again and again.

How many times did we see a Liverpool player on the ball and his teammates just stood and watched him.

Valencia did this almost to perfection under Rafa, why not us.
The difference is at Valencia they had genuine pace in the team down the wings with Vicente and Angulo. Something we just don't have

It'd be interesting to see how Valencia would react to a bid for Vicente

Its not like Rafa can tell our players to play like Barca, and they will. Its all about quality of the players. Maybe Pennant isnt good enough to do this every game?

No but he should be abel to tell them to play like Valencia.

If you can do it once, you can do it again. And the least I want from our players is that they try.

                                Yesterday they did not.
