TBH mate, I think we have. But if your every attack goes through the flank, the opposition will eventually figure it out and stop you.

This season we had so much space in the middle but opted to attack through Pennant or Gonzalez, whilist Gerrard and Xabi were all alone in front of the penalty box. It's strange, but Rafa sure knows what he's doing. He's a great manager.

It's easy mate.

For starters, squad rotation is a good thing... If you replace a player or two now and then... But when you almost replace your whole 11, then it's a problem. When I log on to liverpoolfc.tv before the match and see the headline "Rafa makes 6 changes for tonight's game", I close the page and pretend I saw nothing.

If players play together week in week out, they will know eachother very well. They can play with their eyes closed and still see eachother make a run. But if they play with different players every week, it's a problem. And you can see that at LFC. Stevie passes the ball and no one understands him - and the ball's out of play.

Well, Rafa's not so extreme with this squad rotation now. You can see that Xabi, Stevie and maybe Kuyt and Crouch understand themselves and know where eachother is all the time. But at the start of the season, when Rafa started with Zenden, he was the weakest link and the chain broke - suddenly there were lose balls, mistakes etc.

You make a good point.

But them players not even trying can not be blamed on rotation.

Yeah. Like I said before, the only winger that we have who can dribble past defence on a constant basis is Kewell and no one else. And he's injured, so... Pennant dribbles past defence one in 20 tries, Garcia is good when he has his day, but those days are coming around only few times per season. Gonzalez is like Baroš, drops his head down and runs like hell, Aurelio doesn't even know what his position is...

And I'm not pesimistic at all

Taking on defenders and actually creating a chance for one of your teammates or yourself. How many times have Speedy done that?

Imo wingers should be able to get into the box when needed and go past his man when needed. I want wingers who can dribble and score goals. Kewell at his best is just that, too bad he's never fit. I want wide players like Ronaldo, Robben, Giggs etc

What you ask for is valid but very few winger ever can beat a defender many times a game.

And like a said, most teams rely on team play to get the crosses in.

So, signing Ronaldo would be great.
But that would not solve our pass and move problem.
