[QUOTE=lfcruleus;226454]Being the best passer in a relegated BCFC team was never gonna make him a world beater, he is getting better and given a little patience and time he make become a good player for us. What frustrates me is these pages are mirrored at the games as he is getting stick from the stands also, and that can break a young player.[/QUOT

    I got it now

    Pennant right?

        Well, there is that.

He's not stupid, I think we can agree on that, so the question is why did he do it. Either he simply made a mistake or he felt he had no choice (or rather it was the best choice available).

If it was the latter then he may now feel he miscalculated but, as was said above, it's easy to be wise after the event.
        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

All due respect... but that's rubbish.

Rafa made a glaringly obvious conker of a mistake here... Promising him the Carling Cup would be fine by me... but, despite all his pre-match rhetoric about knowing the importance of the FA cup he's went ahead and belittled it (start of the season or not).

And i hate folk saying... it's easier to be wise after the event. If we ran a poll for Dudek/Reina starting before the match i'm sure the results would have favoured Reina '99%' starting against Arsenal yesterday.

Also, it's worrying that our second keeper is so poorly short of what's required.
          ...

it might not be speedy posting, it might be his housemate again :whatever:

He had to make this decision a long time ago. We dont know all the facts behind this decision so IMO you are looking at this unfairly.

                I agree Bob.

This may be a little controversial but Dudek shouldn't play at all. He's not good enough and hasn't been for quite sometime. If Rafa is going to make promises to goalkeepers he should ensure that they're capable otherwise the team end up paying for it.

My heart sank as soon as I heard Dudek was starting.

As did mine. He's a disaster waiting to happen.

is he really a disaster or is it down to lack of match practice?

I don't care how long ago he made it. I don't know all the facts, but IMO there is not one single reason i can think of why he should have came to that decision.

Nah. He's just not a very good keeper and hasn't been for quite sometime.

Both for me. Which is why he shouldn't have been lobbed into an important game.

It's hard to say it's totally down to lack of match practise without him playing. Maybe we'll know the answer next season when he's playing regularly... at another club!
