According to Fatty's alter ego "the misinformer" Liverpool have enquired and been told 10 million for the wee cnut. Amazing how inside info always appear after stories have broken in the media.

It's a bigger chance for us to sign Alves than SWP.

Chelsea will never sell him to us.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Well I could probably put together a video of edited highlights of Emile Heskey's career that would make him look like Pele, so what we saw of Wright Phillips on the occasions he did play well for City on TV very much flattered him.

He played the odd decent game for City, but I'm told by my City fan mates who watched him week in, week out that more often than not he failed to impress. For every MOTD snip of him lashing one in there would be 100 instances of lost possession, running up blind alleys etc.

When he's played for Chelsea this season he's been their favourite whipping boy. None of their fans rate him at all. So people here suggest that we should pay £10-20m on the off-chance that he'll play more like his edited MOTD highlight Man City performances than his headless chicken Chelsea performances? Seems absolute lunacy to me.

£20m is too much Dan. We could buy Alves and still have approx £7m spare.

City fans were gutted when SWP was sold, and as for Chelsea fans not rating him that is bollocks too - If you are going to make **** up at least try to make it believable.

I have to say I know a lot of City match-goers and pretty much all of 'em were big fans of SWP, and were very sad to see him go.

All this rubbish about "edited MOTD highlights" - City were live on Sky often enough to see SWP destroy teams (notably Man United) and enough of us saw him when he came to Anfield with City. He was nearly always their best player.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Yeah i remember wtahcing many games from his City days.....he tore Utd a new one a couple of times to my recollection.

if there is any chance we can sign him we have to try....we cant miss out on him twice

SWP is quality. I'd say better than Lennon when he's had a decent amount of match practice. But surely we are more likely to get Alves than him?

Why the hell would I make it up? Is that what you do if you disagee with someone? Very bizarre. Living and working in London I have mates who support many teams from around the country. Two of my best mates are City fans. They were sorry to see Wright Phillips go insofar as he was their "name" player but they admitted he wasn't worth a fraction of what Chelsea paid and was also very inconsistent. Stamford Bridge is the second nearest ground to my home so I know many, many Chelsea fans amongst my good friends and they give him dog's abuse and would be glad to see the back of him. I'm sorry if this disagrees with your preconceived notions but it's just the way it is.
