To be honest, I havnt taken much notice of him this season, probably cos i couldnt be bothered with MOTD any more, all I watch of English football is LFC games, and the odd tussle between ther other champions league sides.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
* After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

It's a well known fact that the Sports desks at all red tops use the 'hat method' in order to erm....'research' their transfer storesOriginally posted by PTP View Postjust read this myself - how the **** do the papers make this **** up
Hat One contains all of clubs in the Premier League
Hat Two contains all of the players in the Premier League and a few European based players.
Hat Three contains the transfer fee r i.e. 1 million, 2 million, 10 million
Hat Four Contains a variable i.e. when club is relegated, player does not get on his manager, player wants to move closer to his parents.
They simply pick one from each hat and hay-ho you have an 'exclusive'

Jagielka's from Sale and played for the same junior team as my lad used to. He is also a big Man U fan.
My mate's Stepson, Colin, is his best friend and they went to Knutsford High School together. Funnily enough I watched the Sheff Utd vs Arsenal game in the pub with Colin and he sent 'Jags' (as he is known) a text after the game congratulating him for his goalkeeping skills! Apparently he was an all-round athlete at school and always played in goal when he got the chance.
His older brother, Steve, was a better player but had some bad injuries and ended up at Accrington Stanley...There is a light that never goes out. RIP Alan "Mally" Johnston and the 96. YNWA.
