    Riise's poor form

Anybody thingk this may have something to do with the fact that he's in the penultimate year of his contract and he hasn't been offered a new one? Normally, this is the time to start offering new contracts. You might say you should be proud to wear the shirt etc but didn't Gerrard leave on the same basis?

I heard that he is suffering from gingervitus.

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

if thats' the case it is suprising he hasn't been offered a new contract - despite some people criticising him, he has been a very important first team player and has a lot to offer the team - I'd gutted and shocked if with didn't give him new contract.

With regards to form, has JAR been any worse than any others over the season, eg Alonso for arguements sake

            I don't agree.

I don't think a players ability should dip on the basis that his contract is coming to an end. If anything, I would think a player would be out to prove his worth and secure a new deal.

              yes

to my eyes hes had a significant form dip in the 1st half of this season. worse than any of his colleagues.

players are human beings - if the vibes are bad: ie he wants a new deal but aint gonna get one, then his mood and hence form may suffer. only natural.

i think hes in the ejector seat - gareth bale is gonna need somewhere to play when he comes

Not a good condition for someone who plays at the back!

He signed a new contract on 20/01/2006. It runs untill June 2009.

So maybe he's olaying BAD because he has a new contract?
