The How Do You Feel The Day After Thread

1 condition, you must only post by song lyrics only:

The shallow need to feel wanted
Worshiped and adored and never be ignored
I give you love but you don't see it
    You neever understand
My world is in your hands, and

    [chorus]
I have this thought in my head
    And it's about being noticed
I have this thought in my head
    And it's about being noticed
    We hide away
    Somebody stop me feeling empty
    We hide away
    Someobyd stop me feeling empty

You start this dance but I am leading
    I act out the abuse
    Bewildered and confused oh
Tonight I am yours but I don't feel it
You say it's all a game, but one can only play it

        Uncomfortably numb

        Hello, hello, hello
        Is there anybody in there?
Just nod if you can hear me.
        Is there anyone at home?

        Come on, come on down,
        I hear you’re feeling down.
Well I can ease your pain,
Get you on your feet again.

        Relax, relax, relax
        I need some information first.
        Just the basic facts.
Can you show me where it hurts?

There is no pain, you are receding.
A distant ship's smoke on the horizon.
You are only coming through in waves.
Your lips move, but I can’t hear what you’re saying.

        When I was a child, I had a fever.
My hands felt just like two balloons.
Now I’ve got that feeling once again.
I can’t explain, you would not understand.
This is not how I am.

        I have become (un)comfortably numb.

        [guitar solo]

        I have become (un)comfortably numb.

        OK, OK, OK
        Just a little pin prick.
        There’ll be no more, aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh,
But you may feel a little sick.

Can you stand up, stand up, stand up.
I do believe it's working good.
That’ll keep you going for the show.
Come on, it’s time to go.

There is no pain, you are receding.
A distant ship's smoke on the horizon.
You are only coming through in waves.
Your lips move, but I can’t hear what you’re saying.

When I was a child, I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye.
I turned to look, but it was gone.
I cannot put my finger on it now.
The child has grown, the dream is gone.

        I have become (un)comfortably numb.

I feel dreadful, it'll take at least a week for the magnitute of that defeat to sink in.

i actually feel nothing, i knew it could have gone both ways with the team selection, and unfortunately it went bad for us, i knew a victory last night couldn't make up for the defeat on sat, so today i'm still more occupied over sat than last night, young lads deserved a break, defense just messed up and the dude as well...

I hear some people been talkin' me down,
                Bring up my name
                Pass it 'round.
                They don't mention happy times
                They do their thing
                I'll do mine.

Ooh baby that's hard to change
I can't tell them how to feel.
                Some get stoned,
                Some get strange,
But sooner or later it all gets real.

                Walk on, walk on,
                Walk on, walk on.

                I remember good old days,
Stayed up all night gettin' crazed.
Then the money was not so good,
But we still did the best we could.

Ooh baby that's hard to change
I can't tell them how to feel.
                Some get stoned,
                Some get strange,
But sooner or later it all gets real.

                Walk on, walk on,
                Walk on, walk on.
                .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Loneliness is a cloak you wear
A deep shade of blue is always there

Emptiness is a place you're in
With nothing to lose but no more to win

The sun ain't gonna shine anymore
The moon ain't gonna rise in the sky
The tears are always clouding your eyes
                    When you're without love...

Can anyone describe how they felt during the game? I think I can honestly say it was the most bizarre footballing experiences I’ve ever had.

The game began in an eerily similar manner to the FA Cup game (Speedy’s injury apart) and I was just thinking to myself “they’ll score with their first attack”. Seconds later they did exactly that. Even that felt really weird.

Then we equalised and it all seemed rather normal – I hoped we’d go in at the break in front. Ha!. What followed was incredibly surreal and my mind and thoughts became a total blur. I was confused to the point where I stopped reacting. Even after Gerrard’s great goal, the best I could muster was “heh, great strike”, with my arms folded and my bottom lip reaching new lows.

It was a weird, weird night.

It's a pretty **** day to be at work. Been going backwards and forwards with Arsenal fans all day. We'd better win the league game

                          Bad Day

Where is the moment we need at the most
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost
They tell me your blue skies fade to grey
They tell me your passion's gone away
And I don't need no carryin' on

You stand in the line just to hit a new low
You're faking a smile with the coffee to go
You tell me your life's been way off line
                          You're falling to pieces everytime
And I don't need no carryin' on

Cause you had a bad day
                          You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
                          You say you don't know
                          You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
                          You had a bad day
                          The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
                          You had a bad day
                          You had a bad day

Well you need a blue sky holiday
The point is they laugh at what you say
And I don't need no carryin' on

                          You had a bad day
                          You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
                          You say you don't know
                          You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
                          You had a bad day
                          The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
                          You had a bad day

                          (Oh.. Holiday..)

Sometimes the system goes on the blink
And the whole thing turns out wrong
You might not make it back and you know
That you could be well oh that strong
                          And I'm not wrong

                          (yeah...)

So where is the passion when you need it the most
                          Oh you and I
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost

Cause you had a bad day

You sing a sad song just to turn it around

                          You had a bad day
                          You've seen what you like
And how does it feel for one more time
                          You had a bad day
                          You had a bad day

I felt the exact same way. I thought it was going ok, we were playing decent enough & they hadn't threatened when my mate joked, "bet they score first like Saturday"........and of course they did.

It was like a testimonial game or something. Surreal is the word I think. I still have mixed feelings about it. Part of me has written it off as a freak result and got over it, and part of me hurts like hell.

I felt numb to be honest, just couldn't believe what was happening, it was as if i was watching some Football related Movie in a fantasty, unrealistic, unpredictable sort of way, much like you i barely made a noise when Gerrard scored that stunning goal, just in shock throughout the whole match.
WEIRD, WEIRD, WEIRD experience if there ever was one.
