Still doesn't believe he was in the wrong.

What was most annoying was the applause and even laughter he recieved from some of the audience.

The cnut was invited to apologise and refused. Point blank said he was not admitting anything he had done was wrong. What a low life. How did this guy get back into the media spotlight?

Ultimately still peddling his lies. 'Not sure' about the urinating on dead fans and the pickpocketting, but asserts ticketless fans were to blame. Short told him he should apologise. He basically says no matter what he does now people will still hold a grudge. So, no then. Odious ****.

I'm glad David Dimbleby had the balls to raise the issue. Clare Short invited MacKenzie to apologise and he refused. Shame on MacKenzie. He's a hypocrite and a liar and I hope we never, ever see or hear from him again.

At the end, when Short put him on the spot, I thought that he might say something.

Then the nutter started going off in the crowd & I was thinking this is it....

Turns out the nutter just wanted to bang on about some other paper ****....

Was he even listening to the Liverpool bit?....****ing Dimebar.

Problem is with the continued campaign for Justice, which I assume part of includes a full public apology from McKenzie, he's become a figurehead of hate for scousers and LFC fans in general. And that's the saddest part for me our hatred for him is keeping his profile and vile opinions in the public domain, and has done ever since Hillsborough. For media outlets he's a guarenteed draw with all his previous slurs. In the end in the most twisted of ways he's come out ahead, had "The Truth" not happened he would just be another nobody right wing journo failure with a chip on his shoulder. Nobody would listen to him. Unfortunately we've unwillingly created a monster.

Just think about it, if he apologises he no longer becomes a relevant story/factor. That's basically his career now. He may or may not be sorry privately(still think it's the latter myself) for his actions, but either way we'll never know because it's worth too much money too him now.

Disclaimer* I am in no way saying that the HJC is wrong or shouldn't exist. It has to. Just making a few observations about how things have turned out in the past 17 years.

I sent the following to the BBC!

I am a 32 year old man, native of the city of Liverpool, and remember well the Hillsborough diasaster of April 1989, and how shocking it was for my city at that time. I was fortunately not personally affected, none of my own family or friends died, though people I knew fairly well at my school were affected personally. Life has its barbs we know; and in this instance many many people were hurt enough, so it was unfortunate to put it exceedingly mildly that the paper presided over by Mr Mackenzie at that time printed blatant lies about liverpudlians and blackened their names for malevolent purposes. This is a man who is not spoken of fondly by myself and fellow liverpudlians, and indeed fans of Liverpool football club, and I am being extremely temperate and understated in saying just this. For this man, who to this day insists on his not being wrong for the hateful lies of that newspaper to be allowed to appear on a respected television programme of the BBC is in my view wrong. The BBC in my opinion would be well advised to think very carefully and responsibly about the rights and wrongs morally of inviting this man as a guest on such a respected programme and indeed of employing him in any capacity on its radio programmes, as frankly, he is a disgrace. It takes a big man to admit to his mistakes. His mistake was of great magnitude and his stubbornness to apologise at all, ever, personally, after all these years speaks volumes of the man.

                              Respectfully, ................
