Dhavlos, apart from Rafa we have never had a manager proven at the top level. Winning big doesn't necessarily make you a great manager. There are many who say Rikjard only got Barca back to the top because of the coach they had. He's now gone and Barca and not as good as they used to be.

Yes and we havent had success since Sky invented football. I take your point that its about the bigger picture. But the next Scum, Scum2 and arsenal manager will be a 'big name' and we will be the same.

It looks like we are moving onto the next level due to a World classmanager....the game has moved on from appointing within or gambling on all the aforementioned managers. We need a manager who either knows, or has a team of individuals who can scope the world for the best talent a la wenger.
