It may have been a risk worth taking if it could have bought us the league, however as it is we are much better off looking to the long term and building the relationships between our current strikers or bringing in someone who could help us challenge next year.

I suspect he would be useful but not revelatory in our squad - bit like Fowler really.

A loan deal would be good for just six months. with luis out he would add that extra flair in the team and if he was determined to succeed im sure he could as on his day this guy is class. he scored 14 goals in 23 games last season and he has lost weight since then. and has 3 in four this season. as long as the wages arnt to high i would take him i mean why not what really have we got to lose.

personally though i think he will either return to italy or go to a middle eastern team were he can earn shedloads of money.

Ronaldo puts less work in that Fowler, by a mile and probably is just as immobile.

Wouldn't take him if his wages were Zero.

I think I’d probably take him on a pay-as-you-play deal.

i'd have him here. He still has a bit left i reckon. A change of scenery would do him good.

If his wages were zero then only a fool would turn down the chance to sign him. You'd make fantastic profit on shirt sales alone, even if he sat in the stands for the whole duration of his move.

OK then Mr Pedant, I was merely suggesting that Fat Ron is exactly the type of player I don't want to see at Anfield.

I think he would be a good signing providing it's on loan or for a reasonable fee and the wages are not huge.
a loan deal for the fat one for the rest of the season would be worth it (as long as Real picked up most of his wages)

I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

if rafa could get him motivated, i'd take him in a heartbeat, he is one of the most lethal finishers the world has ever seen, he challenges science as he can create something from nothing...
