    Get a grip????????

Shove it mate. I'm just opening a discussion. For ****s sake. What's wrong with some people on here.

You can't posit a simple possibility without 'get a grip'.

I would have the thought the tax man will be wanting a piece of that 50 million.

Indeed. I wasn't saying he SHOULD. I wasn't saying he was under any obligation to. I wasn't criticising anybody.

I was just wondering whether he might say well here you go, have a mega transfer kitty to kick things off with.

Personally, I possibly would if I was already ridiculously financially secure. Its not beyond the realms of possibility. So I just posed the idea.

            Meh, just ignore him mate.

It's probably him in his avatar, so he can't really criticise people

didn't Moore's fund the building of the centenary stand also?

He may be a fan but at the end of the day its business. I think he is entitled to whatever someone is prepared to give him. DIC are paying what its worth no more or no less.

its true when you say you have to have money to make money and if he put 10 million in and its gone up then good luck to him.

A lot of us have houses which have gone up in value, so does that mean we have to give the profit back when we sell. I think not.

he has/is great for LFC and he should be very proud of what he has done.

I really hope that he will still be around in some capacity to see the next stage develop.

              Thanks Mr. Moores.

It is business and yes he's entitled to whatever he's paid for something he owns. That's not in doubt.

But its not quite the same as buying a house, because Moores only got involved with LFC cos he's as nutty about LFC as we are. The difference he had the resources to make his dream of being on the board and involved at that level a reality.

Given that this was for love not for money, I just wondered if it might be in his mind to bequeath some of it in some way as a short term transfer kitty for Rafa.

It's unlikely I know but I just thought I'd pose the idea.

After all, he never got involved with LFC as a result of a business decision but as a result of love. So it doesn't necessarily follow that he'll regard the proceeds of the sale as a business issue.

As slim as the possibility is, it's surely not out of the realms of possibility that he may decide to ensure he's out at no cost to himself, and bequeath the rest in some way.

My question is simply, if he did decide to do that, how much would that be given that he may well have directly funded transfers from his own pocket (although I'm not sure if that's how it worked).

I have avatars switched off so I can't see that. Nonetheless, one can only hope that some people are more pleasant in real life than they are online.

Yes he did, but from previous discussions my understanding was that this was part of his initial investment which got him the 51% majority. I'm sure there's people on here with more knowledge of how the cash works that can confirm or deny that.

To be fair though, I've just looked at Jazzmaster's other posts on here and at first glance he's been a decent, constructive contributor otherwise. Maybe he's just having a bad day, or misunderstood what I was saying, or maybe I just irritate him.
