I agree with Chuckles on this one. Him and McGeady can **** right off.

Same if I saw McGeady I would punch him in the face he's a little ****. I am glad that he's doing ****, ******. I think that McCarthy might change his mind when he's a bit older and play for Scotland.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If he was born in France while on holiday and came back over 2-3 days later he would naturally have his birth registered in his home country. It's about where you reside and have your birth registered that counts as your nationality.

Fact of the matter is that this young guy isn't Irish and never will be.
Hehe, ignore me I was just stirring.

No his Grandad always wanted him to play for Ireland so he declared for us.Him dying has just made him more determined to see it through.

As far as I'm concerned he was born in scotland so he's scottish but if he wants to play for us and the rules allow it then thats his choice. Its not as if either of us are going to be winning trophies left right and centre so his reasons for picking Ireland over Scotland are obviously important to him.good luck to the lad whoever he ends up with.

I think that in some countries it enough to be born there to get an citizenship, as long as the mother is there legally.

Technique has never been Gerrards strongest point anyway, exept his volleying. That`s probably the best in the world.

thats what i heard too. and it was his grandfather who got him interested in football. So i guess he made a pledge to him, or somethign like that.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

Yeh. McGeady & McCarthy. Great Scottish names those.

And McGeady hasnt been playing because of an injury.
"With Ron Yeats in defence, we could play Arthur Askey in goal."

If they lived In Ireland than that would be ok, but they never have.

I know but we steal the crap from England and Ireland steal the best from Scotland.

If Rafa rates him as a first team squad member at the age of 16 then the kid must be a bit special. Hopefully we won't let him move to one of our rivals over a few quid...

Given the crazy price of transfers and the fact that loads of big teams are after him, 130k seems like a pretty ****e offer unless this included other clauses.
