He's one of my favourite players, an idol of mind so i really hope i don't have to 'slag' him off tomorrow but i'll just give my honest assessment of his performance, as well as the other players.

Agree wholeheartedly, we haven't yet improved the squad to their level yet, and now it might also be a mental thing on top of a quality of player issue.

But, we are a due a win, and with the disaray of the chavs at the moment, it might be a fine time to turn them over and give ourselves a confidence boosting win, at last!

As long as you don't start numerous threads with your ranting, fine.

not to be negative or anything before the game
but how many times have we been where we are now
night b4 the biggame talking up our chances etc etc
fact is we havent delivered in the league against the bigger teams
we have lost all 5 league meetings with chelsea and while most of them have been tight games bar 1 we have yet to prove that we deserve to be on par or ahead of them.
yes they are missing terry tomorrow but so ****ing what ,thats no excuse for a team that spends so much.big test for us tomorrow, i just hope we come through it.
if we lose i will not be going near these forums till this day next week to avoid the doom merchants, nor if we win though will i be jumping on the were so great bandwagon.
we have some huge games coming up in the next few months and this is just the first hurdle.

I have to post this gem from honourablegeorge on ynwa.
It is his response to some doom mongers over there.

Nonsense. It'll be pretty much like this:

1 min: We win the toss, by miles. They'll kick off, playing towards the Kop. The ball is rolled back to Lampard. Xabi slides in, easily winning the ball, and breaking both Lampards' ankles with his trailing leg. Lampard booked for diving.

2 mins: GOAL - Xabi takes the free kick himself, and scores. Another overpaid, odious t*** of some description is brought on to take Lampard's place.

8 mins GOAL - The ball is rolled to Essien. Xabi slides in, easily winning the ball, and killing Essien stone dead with a withering stare. The referee plays advantage, Xabi sprays the ball wide to Pennant, who crosses for Crouch. Crouch heads straight at Cech, killing him instantly. The referee plays advantage, and Bellamy taps in from two yards out.

10 mins: Mourinho sent off for being hit by a coin from the stands.

16 mins: GOAL - Kuyt scores from 30 yards with a curling drive.

25 mins: Sissoko tackles Shevchenko, who begins crying in the centre circle. The Chelsea physios are unable to console him, despite liberal application of the magic lollipop and offers of a yacht, and Shevchenko goes home.

32 mins: John Terry's mum seen acting suspiciously in the Kop. TV coverage momentarily censored.

44 minutes: Ashely Cole taken off after suffering curious lower-body spasms.

Half time, Liverpool 3-0 up, Chelsea down to nine overpaid t***s.

45 mins - GOAL - Liverpool kick off, towards the Kop. The ball is chipped to Gerrard, who scores with a looping volley over Hilario. Paolo Ferreira is sacrificed to the gods of football on a large fire in the centre circle as part of the celebrations. Mourinho attempts to join in, and is again removed from the field by police.

57 Mins - GOAL - Sissoko opens his Liverpool account, winning the ball from Carvalho on the edge of the 'D' and hitting a low drive into the bottom left hand corner.

58 mins - Carvalho removes shirt to reveal "PETER KENYON IS A b*****d" t-shirt, and is booked.

65 mins - GOAL - Steve Finnan scores direct from a cross. And why not, he's a nice lad.

80 mins - Liverpool are keeping the ball, easing off the pressure. Carvalho receives second yellow for name calling and bad hair.

89 mins - GOAL - Reina comes forward for a late corner. Chelsea clear the corner and Robben breaks away towards the Liverpool goal. Reina pursues, tackles him and jumps repeatedly on his head. The referee issues a stern warning. The free kick goes straight to Agger, who scores from 85 yards with a left foot curler.

FULL TIME - A comprehensive victory for Liverpol, against a Chelsea team whose discipline let them down.

If I see 100% commitment from all players I´m happy.

If I see us out classed,

I just afraid they will win 1-0 Lampard deflection.

                Or Drogba freak show.

I'm confident as well. They've had a terbulant week or so. THE REDs will capitalise on that tomorrow.

The only player that really bothers me is Drogba.

But we all know the score anyway:

Carvalho will persistently foul and be an all round dirty *******, and have numerous penalty claims against him waved away.

Cech will pull off about 5 'top drawer' saves, that no other keeper would have got to.

Shevchenko will walk around the pitch doing bugger all, probably holding hands with Ballack.

Lampard will spend the whole game firing shots into row z, before forcing Reina into a save with a shot that deflects off the referees arse.

Drogba will spend the game being an irritation and diving left right and center, causing about 10 minutes total time to be wasted with his rolling round the floor. He'll then get told to leave the pitch for treatment, which mourinho wont be happy with and will chastise the fourth official.

Ferriera, Robben and Cole will do nothing of note

Essien will have the 'game of the season'

Kalou will do nothing but will probably get their only goal

                        Think that covers it
