Quick question regarding rotation

This argument is getting us nowhere, we're just going round in circles.Originally posted by rushscored4 View PostRotation can be really nasty though, like a vicious circle...

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

[QUOTE=Mattshark;253162]I disagree, the palyers get used to each other over the summer, and yes I accept that one or two Aurellio and Gonzalez have to get used to the league (but in fairness they have hardly played) but the others bellamy and pennant can't use that excuse can they ? in my opinion I think Rafa just got it wrong with his selections and tactics (Zenden in the middle at Arsenal !!).Originally posted by Deano View PostHow the hell do you get used to a new league over the summer?
It takes longer than that to adjust to a new style of player never mind another country.
I think sometimes we should just stand up and say we got it wrong but at the moment Rafa is getting it right and long may it continue.I make no apologies, this is me

All the top teams rotate all of the time. So I'd be interested to see your statistics on Man U's - and the others around us - supposed lesser use of rotation. Perhaps you'd be kind enough to let us see the evidence, as opposed to general commentsOriginally posted by DJS View PostI see people mentioning how we're the 'fittest and freshest' team now, going into the final third of the season. How this is being judged, i have no idea, but i'll go with it for argument's sake...
Obviously, this is being put down to the rotation that Rafa has done and the suggestions are that it vindicates his rotation policy. Again, i'll go with this for the time being.
What i want to ask is, if it's such a good policy to have, why are others (most notably the mancs, this season) able to NOT do it with the same frequency as rafa, yet still have a chunky lead at the top of the table?
Is their squad much stronger than ours, beyond the 1st team? I'm not too convinced there's much in it.
Ferguson hasnt really rotated to the extent Rafa has, yet they're 11 points ahead of us.
So why is it that others can manage without such frequent rotation, yet still lead the league table, but we cant?
Not having a dig, just a genuine question.
Answers on a postcard...

Yes but that's far too sensible and wouldn't give us all this barmy knee-jerking by the feebly-minded to comment onOriginally posted by Neil Young View Post05/06 we played for almost a year and all our major players were either injured or off-form having been to the World Cup. Man United had a shorter season and some of their key players didn't go to the World Cup (e.g. Scholes and Giggs who have both been very good all season long) or were injured before it and hence have had a rest (i.e. Rooney).
If you're going to make comparisons you have to take all possible relevant factors into account.
