No, do you? It's a genuine question tomas, not a sarcastic dig. We can only play 3 per match, I just wondered who we have who are non-EU. I know Gonzalez needed a work permit so he is definitely one.Originally posted by tomasjj View PostDo you actually know what passports these players have, and also for how long will they remain non-EU players?Originally posted by Gordon Brown

He should have chosen to play for them then, he'd have a world cup winners medal.Originally posted by El Diego View PostGonzo is Spanish and Javier is Italian.Originally posted by Gordon Brown

Considering they were mooted to have offered 18m for Bent... not so daft?Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostI posted a link somewhere in this thread. It was a link to a West Ham forum, where the ‘Ed’ had posted about Mascherano’s plight. They say it’s all tied in with the Hammers having to buy JM for £25m or summat daft if he makes a certain amount of appearances. Mascherano was deemed “the world class one of the two” when he signed with Tevez, and Tevez has no such clause. This was all organised on the basis Kia Joobi-whatshisname would successfully take over.
30m if the Hammers go down... if Javier is great as all that (proven in training) then 25m may be worth a gamble, no?Last edited by Bob; 31-01-07, 01:08 PM....

I THINK Gonzalez will be eligible for a EU passport very soon.Originally posted by Red Chilli View PostNo, do you? It's a genuine question tomas, not a sarcastic dig. JAvier has an Italian one already.
Insua is young and thus will get one over time.
Paletta, I have no clue. Same with LEto.
Edit: Oh, someone already filled in the blanks. Sorry.--== Because the gang and the government is no different ==--

Hopefully Palleta will lose his passport when he visits his family in Argentina and be barred from ever returning.Originally posted by tomasjj View PostI THINK Gonzalez will be eligible for a EU passport very soon.

But, there is one reason why id raise my eyebrow at someone making that claim. Tevez IMO was rated higher than Mascherano before they both joined Westham. Well thats how I percieved the quality of both players anyway and I would have guessed many others too.
No Bazza your wrong there mate Masch is the more established one in the Argentinian team so i think its safe to assume that he would be the most sought after. PLus strikers always get more of a mention purly because they stir up excitement.

I guess he does have a great international CV alright. More so than Tevez. My thinking was more kinda based on the fees you would command for a world class young attacking tallent like Tevez (prior to his move).Originally posted by Armchairkopite View PostNo Bazza your wrong there mate Masch is the more established one in the Argentinian team so i think its safe to assume that he would be the most sought after. 'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

Too true......Heighway No9 was always a poster I looked out for on KT as the voice of reason....& so it continues hereOriginally posted by Sir Bob View PostI can't believe anyone would not want Mascherano at the club. He's 22 & has already played 21 times for Argentina. He played every game for them in the world Cup, in which Argentina looked as good as anyone. He's already a very good player with the potential to improve. If people don't want him at LFC then there's no pleasing them.
All this doesn't guarantee he'll succedd at LFC but you could say that about any player in the world. Every buy is a leap into the unknown to some extent but if he comes I can't wait to see him play.
If he'd never gone to West Ham & we were buying him everyone on here would be creaming themselves. Argentina are one of the top teams in the world & we are buying one of their very best young players. What more could you ask for.

No chance. Not a Rafa player at all.Originally posted by Armchairkopite View PostTevezs stock has dropped drasticlly over the past few months alright, i wonder would Rafa consider making a move for him in the summer, a far better buy than Raul would be imo.Just when I discovered the meaning of life, they changed it
