If you were a pro and signed for Everton

Do you think you'd always give 100%? Would you be tempted to misplace a few passes and score the odd own goal?

Just reading the Kenny piece saying he's a Rangers fan and wondered how you'd get past that inbred hatrid?

    Absolutely not!

But then again i'd probably not sign for them.

    What Kenny piece?

If I was **** enough for them to sign me I would suspect I wouldn't need to try and sabotage their efforts.

If you love the sport and want a carreer, you would give 100% no matter where you played.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

              * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

The question of your feelings towards a club would only arise when it comes to joining the club in the first place, not after you've joined.
That's the most difficult decision. The professional game is full of examples of this happening (look at all our ex-players who were Bluenoses as kids)
When you're young, the most important thing is to become a footballer in the first place. That's dream number one.
Once the decision has been made to join a particular team, and you are a pro, as you said, of course you would give 100%. I don't see how anyone could give anything other than 100% in a game of football tbh. But hey, that's just me.

If any of you ****ers were offered 100K a year (so 2K a week) to play for Everton or Man U when you were 17-18 you'd take it up in an instant - assuming Liverpool weren't interested.

With the 100K a year you could buy many new TVs

It's about professional pride. Anyone lacking it and willing to sabotage the efforts of their team should not be playing competitive sports.
