LOOK! DIC had no choice but to pull out the moment the board started considering other offers and faffing about. judging by everybody's reaction it's had the desired affect and the board would seem really GREEDY and STUPID to go with another's offer. Their statement said that Moores agreed to DIC's bid, so by pulling out all the pressure is now on the board and the members who rejected the bid. Messy I know but i think it's given Moore's the amo to fight the board with. I'm pretty confident after reading DIC's statement that they would come back to the table if Moores could guarantee that the board would approve. Everyone CHILL!Lucky owes Kopdan £10

But what difference is Bascombe writing an article in a little local paper going to make, absolutely diddly squat. He can slag them off all he want's but it wont mean anything.Originally posted by SCOUSERTOMMY View Postmorphino ..cos i believe the dubai people were in the best long term interests of the club and the gillette people is strictly investment and will bu run with the bottom line. parry and the board have give us nothing but lip service about the best interests of the clubThomas Hicks Senior

The bitters will be dancing in the street, I feel sickI think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Gillett will be stuck anyway cos they cannot convince Moores, the majority shareholder, to take Gilletts offer.Originally posted by MORPHEUS View PostSuspect Morgan wouldn't agree because he's anti-Moores and may have his own personal agreement with Gillett......... and Granada who just want maximum for their shares. I suspect Moores is absolutely livid.
I reckon Gillet set up something with Morgan and Granada. All very underhand but enabled by DIC being so slow about the due diligence.
What DIC wanted to do was by Morres + another 18.1% of the shares. This will give them 70% majority. With this, they can make a compulsory purchase order on the remainder. The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Judging by the tone of teh statement I think DIC will be back in.
Middle Eastern people are very emotional and I think they were personally offended that we even entertained a further offer from Gillette, especially after singing DIC's praises etc etc..
When the dust settles I hope they will cool down and revise their bid - i.e. pay a bit more to get the club they want."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley
