why not do a little research and read up on gillett before getting his name wrong (it's not gillette, as in the shaving empire) or slagging him off. you're just making yourselves sound even more moronic. i'm not a fan as i've previously stated but for DIC to run off crying is enough to put me off them. can't handle a little competition?

as for the rest of you who are telling the yanks to "fcuk off", nice impression of the club you're giving people. do you take that xenophobia on the road with you to away games, or are you only ballsy enough to voice it when you're hiding behind a computer? fcuking pussies ... you should be ashamed of yourselves. i'd like to see how quick you are to talk such ****e when a yank is standing in front of you!

I don't want Gillett, in fact i would like him to, "**** off" but cracking post nonetheless.

A board of directors are obliged by the fiduciary duty they owe to shareholders to act in the shareholders best interests. They had to consider the higher offer that came in because it may be in the shareholders' best interests. To do otherwise could lead to breaches of company law.
Id agree with you but i think Parry and Moores are gooda friends and Parry is too comfortable at Liverpool he could do alot more for us off the pitch Global marketing etc.......IMO

So DIC pulls out because the person that is 'selling' the club wanted to take a peek at another offer? Can't be THAT bothered about buying us then can he?!
The blokes supposedly a MASSIVE Liverpool fan. Bollocks
        This had crossed my mind.
Their exit was overly dramatic, but then again, if a deal was agreed in principle, these Arabs are men of honour and would hold such a deal as good as a written agreement.

DIC - Investment opportunity, raise profile - sell later (remember the document circulating about wanting partners)

Gillett - Sports promoter, family man, improves the on-field team, senior member of the US Olympic Board even, made the right noises about stadium etc.

                Swings & roundabouts.

                  Dont fret too much guys.

                  Blessing in disguise maybe?
I say DIC can piss off to Everton to be honest.

i dont need to read their statements, i just need to see how they have ran the club and their failure in marketting LFC globally to generate income to know they are one incompetent bunch.

I'm not saying they are perfect, they've failed in a few respects. Particularly in the commercial side of the business.

But I find it hard to apportion blame to them here when they're only doing their jobs and because it was the Board that made the decision to hold off on accepting the bid so they could examine a possibly better bid.

I would rather stay with Moores that with that Yank Gillett.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
