As far as we were all concerned the deal with DIC was more or less done and dusted. When Gillet came back to look at the books apparently that was not going to change things. Deal changed when offer was upped. So I don't think Moores is thinking about the clubs best wishes he is thinking about his fat wallet.

DIC walked out of their own choice.
They didn't want it enough then, and wanted to look like they walked out and not that they got the cold shoulder with their revised bid it seems.

I'm coming into this debate a bit late but I had to take Harry to the hospital for Photo-Therapy so I apologise.

But honestly is anyone surprised by this? You can always expect our current to **** things up because they don't have the balls to make decisive decisions. Moores and Parry pull a masterstroke by bringing DIC to the table but as usual with all things investment they haven't been decisive at a critical stage and The Sheikh is walkng out the door with the cheque book.

Well I couldnt be arsed reading all of this thread. sorry pepes. However, the words knee and jerk spring to mind here. A lot of angry people, but why? What do we really know about the DIC bid more than we know about the US one? Is it a matter of not wanting an american in control? If so thats a poor reason in a purely business sense. And all this slagging off of Moores and Parry is ridiculous it really is, without knowing all the facts. Heres something to mull over.................remember all those manure fans we took the piss out of when they sold out? Well who's laughing now............???? just a thought.

I dont think DIC are really out and it seems Gillett really upped is bid so game on.

I think we all know that there are boxes you have to tick to bid for LFC. New stadium, no ground share, money for players, respect for the Liverpool way and so on. It seems Gillett now meets all those conditions and so he´s in the game.
Maybe DIC pulled out to get us, the fans to put pressure on the board, and now we are pressuring them to go for the lesser of two bids. I truly belive that Gillet t has put himself in the running with a bid that is very good for Liverpool FC.

It's no bad thing but I still think that Gillette looks like a real ****.
