Well I for one am happy that DIC didn't get it's dirty little Sharia hands on Liverpool.

I don't want a corrupt Government having any control over my club thank you very much.

But you'll happily hand it over to a twice bankrupt American meatseller ?

Just imagine where we would be right now if we had gone down the Thaksin Shinawatra route a couple of years ago.

We have to believe the board know what they are doing.

I'd love to, I really would, but...

One possible scenario about this thing. Could it be possible that Moores was forced into that decision (to consider Gillett's bid) ? He's got 51% of LFC's shares and for a full takeover to happen, the other shareholders must be willing to sell their shares for it to happen isn't it ?

The fact that Gillett offering 500 pounds more to these shareholders has tilted the balance in my opinion ... Moores would be powerless to stop that. Could it be something instigated by Steve Morgan ??? That also could still be plausible.

Now that wouldn't suprise me one bit

I think DIC have just seen their arse on this. They should have believed in their bid and in my opinion have acted foolishly.

Blaming Gillette for wanting to invest in our club is laughable and has only highlighted the idiocy of some people on here.

At the moment, nobody apart from the club, DIC and Gillette know whats going on so its only fair we wait and see what comes out of it before pinning blame on people who may actually be doing the right thing.

I still think that's bluff mate. They wouldn't spend one and a half month doing their due diligence then pull the plug when the club is considering another bid. We'll just have to wait and see.

I think it is clearly a wait and see matter. Either we accept Gillette, go off looking for someone else or DIC come back either by begging them or off their own bat.

We'll know soon enough, either way, Parry and Moores cant avoid the questions any longer.

The problem in that is that Gillett having been dismissed for so long, is now the ONLY official bidder ! If there's a deadline in terms of building the stadium (heard about March or something like that), then the club is in a strange situation !

As I said, it it possible that Steve Morgan has had some hand in it. I never liked the guy, so I'm quite pessimistic about that.

We as fans have been dragged on this saga for too long, and I don't give a **** anymore who owns our club now.

I think its a no brainer to be honest Fred

We accept Gillette or we dont. His offer is clearly huge and should still take us to the next level just the same as DIC's offered.

I'd hate for this club to fall into bad management, regardless of what many may say the board have been magnificent over the years, This is a club to be proud of a club with breeding and heritage. I think the board have this club in their hearts and are trying desperately to do the right thing. We all know that to stay amongst the elite we need the larger capacity ground and all the earnings and investment that would bring. The board know this too and must know they have to act and act fast but obviously it's not an easy deal to do as they are dealing with very clever international business men and must fear making the wrong move. If DIC have gone for whatever reason so be it time to find another suitor. I have faith in the board to do the right thing.

Never fancied watching football in the Stadium of DICs anyway.
