Put yourself in their shoes, how much MORE are they laughing at our reaction, panic, back-biting, in-fighting?

A lot more, I can tell you.

No one was expecting extravagant spending in the transfer market Chelsea-style, just enough to allow Rafa to make first choice signings ala Alves as opposed to Pennant etc.

The key thing is the new stadium. This is the millstone round the club's neck which needs to be sorted. DIC could have funded this out of their own pockets, Gillette will finance by getting us further into debt than we are now,

All the while our board has kept deathly silent on the matter, as if they're as stunend as the fans are at this whole fiasco.

i bet in hindsight Parry wishes he never came out with those comments about DIC ebing the ideal partner, will take us to the next level etc.

No doubt our board will come out in the next few days and say DIC's intentions were not what they seemed, they want to make their profit and sell the club etc. Question is who do you believe - our board which has a propensity for ****ing things up, or DIC who have a track record of business and sporting success?
Agree with all of that Dhavlos

I now want to hear what Parry has to say about the whole affair and more importantly what Gilette's intentions are and how he's actually going to fund this take over. Then I'll get the warm bath and razors ready...

Yes, but why are we acting this way? It is because of the way Parry sold us this deal, and yet has gone hiding now it has collapsed.

Given the chequered history of our board, I would say the fans have every right to assume the worst, given that no one at Anfield has seen fit to shed light on this and we're going by reports in the media which paints us in a less than flattering light.

Well the Sheikh could have, DIC is an investment company.
We don't know if they were going to write a cheque or, as seems plausible, finance the deal by borrowing.

There's an interesting theory that DIC were going to fund the stadium by borrowing and fund big transfers by borrowing, then, when the stadium is full and the team is successful, float the club on the stock exchange and make a killing.

But it's all speculation, as we don't know what they were going to do.

That's a fair point about the stadium, if true.

Whether in comes into the considerations of the board vs shareholder value I don't know. Remember, the current shareholders won't be around post-takeover, so why would they give a **** (within reason) about the future?

We need to lay off Parry, he might just be a little bit busy at the moment either negotiating with Gillett or frantically trying to contact DIC.

                    None whatsoever.

As I've said for weeks and weeks Parry has been banging on about how good this deal was and how DIC respect the traditions of LFC and how they were securing the financial future of LFC for the next 50 years.

What's he going to say now? Gillet offered more money so we took that deal? I feel cheated by Moores that all what has been coming out of LFC over the past couple of months is a crock of **** and really he was trying to sell the club I love to he highest bidder.

I don't believe and wont believe until some gives me proof that Gillet has the financial muscle to secure our great clubs future over the next 50 years and provide Rafa funds to be able to compete at the top end of the transfer market.

Only a couple of weeks ago Rafa said our board are slow to react and I fear this is the biggest mistake they have ever made.

To be fair to Parry, it's the fecking board who have put him in a position where he looks foolish.

Chilli man, did you take the day off to fight the good fight?

People tend to look for someone to blame when they're disapointed.

What I don't get is why anyone can be so let down by the collapse of a deal they had no idea about...

Anyway, keep up the good work brother.
