Djibril Cisse has pledged to make his stay at Marseille a permanent arrangement if the French club can qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
The Liverpool striker is currently going about rebuilding his career at Stade Velodrome following a horrific injury sustained prior to the World Cup, and has scored twice in five games since his comeback.
His future prospects at Anfield look dim at present as Rafa Benitez currently boasts Dirk Kuyt, Peter Crouch, Craig Bellamy and Robbie Fowler in his ranks.
As such, the flamboyant forward is currently considering whether to return to his homeland on a permanent basis, and the ambition of potential future l'OM owner Jack Kachkar has certainly helped turn his head.
If the Canadian millionaire does take control at Stade Velodrome, and the club quality for Europe's premier competition, then Cisse admits he will be keen to rubber-stamp his exit from Liverpool.
"I will stay with Marseille if we qualify for the Champions League," said Cisse in But.
"Jack Kachkar will finance recruitment in the future, and I am convinced that we will have the potential to do well in the European Cup."
Marseille are currently just two points shy of second-placed Lille in Ligue 1.
