So, can existing plans for the stadium change and if so how? Given Hicks' expertise in developing state of the art stadia, how will this affect the current design or is it too far advanced for that, without having to re-submit planning applications etc and delaying it for even longer.
It seems mad to bring on board someone who has the expertise and know how, yet end up with a stadium that has not had the benefit of their input.
Would his forte be on the finance side - ie. constructing it to be a good well built stadium but at a cost effective price? I fear it's too late for him to bring in his own design team. Pity - coz I am not a fan of the model of the new stadium - it looks too much like another Riverside, Reebok etc. Presumably he would ensure that it had great facilities though.
Just as worryingly, one article I read on here said he had made money from the stadium by using it for other venues - gulp - hope they aint thinking about using it for concerts etc during the season else we'll have a pitch like the blue ****e over the road.
