as a few say its not the big big buy's we nessessarily need its the ability to pay that extra 1 or 2 million to get the player Rafa wants.
Simao and Alves come to mind.
Its times like these we learn to live again FF

Regardless of his budget, theres no way i can see Rafa buying superstars which i can see may disappoint quite a few on this site.
If memory is correct, Rafa has gone on record as saying so?
I would expect the likes of Alves to be joining, but certainly no-one in the sphere of Ronaldinho, Kaka et al.
Ive said in another thread, that IMO, Rafa would go for Torres over Villa if it ever comes to it, and i wouldnt rule out a bid for him in the summer.

If we continue to play 'long ball', like we played against Neverton, then no world class players will be coming here.

Rafa rates the guy, I am sure he would go all out to get him.
Balague said on Saturday that Villa is probably going to leave Valencia in the summer and said Real Madrid and Chelsea were the two most likely destinations (in that order). He specifically ruled Liverpool out saying we couldn't afford him (60-70m euros) and because Villa wouldn't want to come.

Get ready to shoot me down, but I cannot see Villa being a success in the Premiership, and a £40m price tab on his head would be akin to a noose.

Well they're maybe not world class, but I could see Rafa going for someone of the ilk of Trezeguet or Klose. I have a feeling that either Bellamy or Crouch will not be playing for us next season and one of the these two would be a likely replacement.

Assuming Fowler leaves too, why not go for both?
                  Oh I don't know.

overrated and flashy. rafa tends to sign more reliable/consistent players

Because I think we already have Fowler's replacement lined up.

But he would want to play in a souless Chelski team.

I don`t see us getting,Villa,Torres,Alves or Simao simply because Rafa knows that when we make approaches for top players with our new warchest every team will rip the ring out of their transfer value. It`s already happened with SImao and Alves when we didn`t have this warchest.

                            Huntelaar would be nice....and possible.
Ribery is probably arse bound or?

Ribery isn't Arsenal bound. The rumour is that he will move to Real and Reyes move back to Arsenal.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
