And without trying to be too negative.
How come Kraft isn't taking over or isn't an option anymore?.
I think both claimed Liverpool were too amateur, what gives?.
So thats Kraft and Dubai who want to own a Premiership team. Kraft has gone on record saying as much. And to think, all of this mess is over a few extra million quid.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

    * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Am I right in thinking Kraft undertook due dilligence?

If so he might not have liked what he saw in the books.

I was thinking about Kraft too he's gone very quiet we've heard nothing of him since Parry was over watching a American Football match going back a few months ago.

Liverpool's scorned potential new owners, the Dubai International Capital Group are set to turn their attentions to Arsenal in a £450 million takeover bid according to reports over the weekend.

The Sunday People claims the group, scorned by Liverpool who are now in negotiations with an American consortium are still keen to find a club in the English Premier League in which to invest and Arsenal are now their number one target.

The paper quotes a source close to the Arsenal board as saying:

"There has been a series of talks about the future of the club and how they need to plan carefully.
Do Arsenal shareholders actually want to sell their club?

If DIC buy Arsenal, then good luck to them. Arsenal are already a big club and major competition to us. Their having new owner won't change that much.

Now if DIC were to plow money into Newcastle, sign Scholari as manager and buy Torres, Richards, etc. THEN I would be concerned.
I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.

That figure of £450m seems to have been plucked out of the air as it was a similar price to pay for ours. And I thought their debt (stadium) was a lo higher than the quoted £80m we have/had.

Thats because their stadium is built.
Did you see the apartments they are building on the Old Highbury site?.
they are not finished yet obviously, but they are understood to make/have made a considerable ammount of money for Arsenal. All the stands are being kept, but turned into apartments with the pitch being used as pirvate open space for the residents.

Well we all know Arsene is dead against foreign ownership, and I have no doubt that if he were presented with an unlimited transfer budget, he would resign immediately.
