I take it the inspiration is from the other investment thread.
Here is the Highbury proposed development plans anyway.

Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

        * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

I was thinking that myself - and what about the money we will receive from selling it? That seemingly hasn't entered any of the equations....it must be worth a left-back or so, I would have thought...

It has got to become green space as compensation for the park that we are taking over - I'm sure that was stipulation of the planning permission

Much of it has to be green space, some used for retail development & community projects, far from us being paid for the land, we're paying for a large proportion of the development of land & all projects. It all has to bring revenue/jobs into the area in return for the problems moving will cause some local businesses/people.

"The Plaza will be a tourism attraction having a hotel, bar/restaurant, a minimum of 1.6 hectares of high quality public open space, shops, community uses, residential and offices.

The contents of the plaza is based on community consultation carried out in July 2003.

The total gross floor space projected in the outline planning permission is 16,660 square metres. It is envisaged that 640 jobs will be directly created by the scheme and nearly 450 indirectly.

Work is expected to start in the winter of 2008 and be completed in 2010."

They could call it Dealey Plaza in honour of our new co-owner Mr.Hicks....the green space could then be known as the Grassy Knoll...
