    Changes in stadium plans?

    I just wondered...
With Hicks and Gillet having great experience in working with stadium building do you think it's possible they might come up with changes for our new home or with a whole new plan??
I mean - making the capacity even bigger, including a casino or whatever.
And can they do that at this point when the first applications for the project have been rubberstamped by the city etc.?!?

And sorry if this is being debated in another thread - I just can't keep track of all the Take Over topics anymore...

If they change it they'll have to reapply for planning permission, or at least a change to the current planning, that'll set the whole project back considerably

To make the capacity bigger would mean a new application, with new imporved infrastructure, with stadiums getting more and more expensive to build, and us loosing out on millions every season from having a small stadium, would cost usa fortune. Can see them goign ahead with the 60/61,000 seat stadium with some small modifications that may be in compliance with planning regulations.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

            * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

I don't think there is a chance of this happening at all. There are apparently a lot of Bluenoses involved with the local council. If we try and change our plans now, it will literally put the schedule back years and will end up with the new owners getting seriously pissed off very quickly.
We'll push ahead with the new build as planned. Changing the capacity requires changes in the local community infra-structure, it'll be a huge undertaking.

                    Thanks.
The thought just came up when I read that they had been to Emirates Stadium.
With their experience perhaps they see ways for us to increase our income that Moores and co. haven't thought of.
Can anyone please enlighten me - what is the masterplan now?
When will they start building the new stadium?

on a serious note, hopefully they can do something to sort out some really common issues in stadiums, and i've been to a few american stadiums, and the insides are much better planned.

take the millenium stadium, the que for the pissers and the bar on sunday was massive at half time.

every yank stadium i've been to, has had much better facilties, although, they don't have the half time rush we do, as people generally go anytime during the baseball

April apparently. But I'll believe it when I see it.
Dreams come true. Without that possibility, nature would not incite us to have them.

On a serious note - hopefully they'll be able to bring in a BIG sponsorship deal compared to the running which is expiring... When???
