With their experience perhaps they see ways for us to increase our income that Moores and co. haven't thought of.
Can anyone please enlighten me - what is the masterplan now?
When will they start building the new stadium?
There is a conflict of defferent laws.
There is planning law, no as far as i can see, the planner will be more interested in the external look of the stadium, infrastructure, and the capacity of the stadium.
then there is health and safety & fire safety and UEFA regulations to consider.
So it could probably be possible to change some aspects of the stadium, within the stadium, the changes under the current planning application wont be on a large scale.
some subtle changes could be made IMO.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

    * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

No it hasn't, because the local infrastructure couldn't handle a larger capacity.

It won't change, it won't increase (externally anyway, so I doubt you could do much internally either?)

Reminder of what is set in concrete:

              Click on Portfolio top right

Hover your mouse over Sports & Leisure, then click on Anfield Stadium.

Click on the round buttons under the stadium to see different views.

Thats my biggest concern. It needs to be a tight ground that can put fear into other teams. And i hope to **** that they dont want to start putting a running track and **** around it to maximise income.

Has the original plans got a seperate stand for the Kop? Again alot of the atmosphere will be lost if its just a big bowl

I've said all this before, but I'll say it again...

I went to the stadium (The Emirates) for our game there earlier in the season.

It's a horrible, corporate, souless, tacky, overly spacious joke of a football stadium. Most Arsenal fans I know (that went regularly to Highbury) feel the exact same way.

                        Main reasons I disliked it..

                        1) The stands were miles away from the pitch - No sense of intimidation whatsoever.
                        2) The stands aren't steep enough. I'm sure you would need binoculars for the upper tier.
                        2) Ridiculous ticket prices/pie/programme prices etc
                        3) The two big screen TV's inside the ground - Felt like I was in America. Horrible.
                        4) The fact it's called 'The Emirates' - ****ing sellouts.
                        5) The corporate hospitality is between the lower and upper tiers, consequently the two stands can't 'feed' off eachothers banter/chants/songs etc

I've got loads more reasons but I cant be arsed to list them.

If the new stadium is anything like the Emirates in any way, shape or form, I will be deeply, deeply upset.

                        I ****ing hated the Emirates.

I hate to break it to you, but most of the 15,000 extra seats are bound to be for corporate hospitality.

Hopefully they seats can be closer to the pitch though

Look at the plans (mentioned in a post above)!

                              It has four seperate stands.
