The ticket prices across Europe are all much, much cheaper than here in England.

dont forget AA, clubs have to make it up somewhere. The Prem is the best league in the world by far and if ya want to watch the best players, teams..etc then you have to fork it out. LFC charges the least out of all the big clubs in the prem.

You have to remember that we're in the UK. The UK is much more expensive in EVERY REGARD, believe me, I've lived all over continental Europe. Food's a ripoff over here, housing, going out, etc. etc. etc. It's got little to do with football in itself.

But I do agree with you on the fact that it is cheaper to go to matches in Europe. But you can't just go to xe.com/ucc and convert pounds to Euros and expect that to be the true market value.

Yes I know - I pay 22 euro. I'm just pointing out where they make their money - on European games. £20 more for their leg and it costs more for their fans as well. We charge the same as league games.

The Yanks aren't gonna get just anyone in, and definitely not with some stupid name. As they said Liverpool is about winning and the money that is bought in by stadium rights may help us in that direction. We are moving from Anfield anyway so we are not defacing the olde lady. It's just a name. Liverpool is about more than just a name.

Quality.
Much better than the National Stadium where Euro 2008 Final will be held.
The Ernst Happel Stadium has a ****ing running track :whatever:

It's also still a really family club, and they have fan nights where you can sit and discuss the teams fortunes with the manager, some players and the President.
The last one I was at held in a Brewery, and the club picked up the tab!

Scotland are playing a friendly v Austria in May at Rapid's ground - so any Scots ... get yer arse over her for it.

Salzburg have got all the cash because of Red Bull.
They've got Trappatoni and Matthäus in charge and a load of ex-Bayern players (Zickler, Kovac, Linke etc.)
The other teams can't compete.

ps: remember seeing Austria Vienna at Anfield in 1984 in the European Cup, they had the Hungarian captian Tibor Nyilasi in their side. He was their best player but we still twonked them 4-1.

That's the National Stadium though. (p.s. google Ernst Happel - the man was a bona fide LEGEND).
The stadium that used to have the magnificent name "Arnold Schwarzenegger Stadium" is now called the UPC Arena though and Ried play in the Fill Metallbau Stadion.
