It's something every fan has said for years....... we have never tapped our true marketing potential!! I am sure this will be the first thing the americans address. I can see LFC merchandise being sold at the montreal canadians, dallas stars stores etc to begin with.
I think we can learn a lot from the Americans about marketing and distribution. We are light years behind Madrid, Barca, the Mancs and even Chelsea when it comes to commercial activities off the field.
However, a few words of caution: I remember we all got excited on KT when we heard Granada were buying a stake in the club a few years ago as we thought their marketing acumen might help us. What did it change? Exactly...
Are chelsea that big commercially?I think they are just bankrolled by abromovic. If he left, i doubt they would they be self sufficient.

'Football is a simple game based on the giving and taking of passes, of controlling the ball and of making yourself available to receive a pass. It is terribly simple.'
Me neither, but I think Rafa is getting at something else.
I think you're referring to their on-field approach (?)...the galactico approach...no trophies....soap operas in the boardroom. That what you mean? Cos I don't want any of that.
Off the field though I think we could learn something, clearly.

Dublin is only about 30 miles from Liverpool.Manure have a shop there,we don`t.I`d spend a fortune in a `pool shop in Dublin.
Not to mention their tie in with every champion sports in the country, we should be building relationships with successfull sport shops aswell, or trying to atleast.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
